  2. Science is evidence based and the evidence indicates the Earth is a globe. To demonstrate that the Earth is flat would require not only producing evidence to demonstrate but also have to account for the evidence indicating otherwise (hence Ali’s) statement. Earth has a physical shape and thus is measurable and it’s shape is scientifically a fact; philosophically nothing can be known by for certain, hence Spencer’s statement.

  6. None. FE’ers can’t explain why the sun moves as it does, why there are clear cut horizons, why there are two celestial poles or why Polaris is only visible in the northern hemisphere. They do demand impossible proof that Earth is a globe to fit with how they perceive a globe, eg, a real-time film from that would show one rotation per day as a blur or zooming in with an impractical magnification because they don’t understand how big the Earth is.

Professor Dave made a series of videos including 10 things all flat earthers say and 10 challenges; a lot of bluster from FE’ers but no answers.

  30. We write & publish research papers in science journals; the reviewers ate fellow academics. Where do you think government & church play a role? Do you think we have to supply a couple of chitties with each journal submission?

Also you can get better detail by using a black & white camera taking a series of shots through different wavelength filters (visible & invisible) and combining the three or four visible wavelengths into the colour picture that we would see with our eyes.
