  2. The great sound.. has been a Mustang GT thing for a long time.... so has the POOR track performance. Even back in the 90's... the GT Barely (if at all) beat the Top Camaro...but the Camaro ALWAYS Beat the GT in EVERY other Category (braking, track lap times, lateral G's) like a Red-headed stepchild. Foxbody Mustangs where Nothing special "stock"... unless it was an LX...but that was only Special in a drag race. Most of the last 30yrs the Mustang has been OUT-PERFORMED by the Camaro... but that doesn't show in sales... Meaning the Mustang is all about sound/looks and NOT Performance.

  4. These pass emissions , unlike , smaller / less powerful european models that were caught rigging their Emissions. Another thing is that these are Very Low production models.... I.E. No Impact. What's Killing the Planet more are the Dumb People that Buy / Drink bottle Water. Billons of those bottles are Littered every year and manufacturing polutes more than these cars. Even Electric Cars Harm the environment.

  6. Not true, the application equally on the rotor, does have a significant effect on braking. more importantly is the diameter. even 1 inch allows the rotor to cool faster.

  10. The thing is that this track is very short tight/low speed track ... So these cars are not able to use their gifts. For example on a short (2.24 miles) BUT fast track (Laguna Seca) the Zl1 1LE is 3.48 sec faster than the SS 1LE.

The guy got away by taking an Off ramp at high speeds in the rain , before getting Lost on the streets of Newark.

  14.  @TopDrumCorps  Your Accord didn't even have Half the Horsepower so 21 is more impressive for a 645hp car than 30mpg for a <300hp car. FYI, the 436hp LS6 powered corvette got 32.8mpg in testing by Popular Mechanics. Hell 1980 diesel VW Rabbitt got better MPG than a Hybrid Civic and taking MPG nothing touches a full EV like a Tesla.

  17. challenger had all seasons, And you are right this is a BS, comparison. The Zl-1 1LE should be a regular ZL-1 and the GT500 CF/Track pack should be a base Gt500... THAT would be a Comparable test with different results.

  18. That's Called a " Tuner car" ... Not a Production model. All Original Shelby's were tuner cars too, as was the Shebly Cobra. Same with Hennessey, Saleen and Lingenfelter.

  19. MOPAR Vs. CHEVY.. MOPAR MAKES MORE...Been like that since the 60's... maybe 50's but I have to Check. Chrysler had Fuel Injection before chevy First to make 1hp/cubic inch Alot of 1st in speed records and HP. Even GM's TOP Model C7 Zr-1 ONLY made 755hp while the demon was 808hp on regular gas and 840 on 100 octane, year/s before.

  21. It's the difference in rear weight bias. A good example is this 495hp c8 will out run the 650hp C7 Z06, which is also Much lighter. Also the surface covered in dust and the Demon NOT being set up for the Run.

  28. Autobahn GT Cruising. It handles for a street car...the others are Track cars. Different tires would make all the difference as the Others are on DOT Track tires and the Redeye is on all season street tires. Not to mention the Redeye was the ONLY one that didn't have Extensive aerodynamic aids to give it down-force. If they ran the reg. ZL1 and Reg Gt500 it would be a Much closer race on the track.

  30. So using the US. Specs/Pricing ... Bullet is $10,000 more base price. 173 hp More/ 125 lb-ft More.. But 734 lbs More Curb weight. Bullet is 0.6 sec quicker to 60 mph, and 0.8 sec quicker/ 8 mph Faster in the 1/4 mile The Typer R has a Higher Top Speed as it is Drag limited (169 mph) BUT the Bullet Is Governed to Only (163 mph). Type R has WAY Better Braking, 147 ft vs.165 ft (70 mph - 0). Crazy is the Type R is ONLY 214 lbs Lighter than the 7.0L LS7 Powered C7 Z06.

  32.  @Trussme96  True they could have seat and radio delete like the Demon had, Hellcat already comes with an aluminum hood. Redeye is 57/43 weight (from motor trend magazine). Tires are still the issue (compound, not really the size). The Iron Block doesn't help with weight either. Have to wait for the next Gen which will be lighter smaller.

  38. 1LE isn't Heavier (672lbs Lighter than the Redeye), and there is No Demon in this Video or In Production. Even the Demon is a Great GT cruiser. That's one of the Challengers strong suits, better Ride quality and more interior space than the Camaro/Mustang.

  49. Depends on the race. reg. Zl-1 can match it in a drag race on the street. Redeye Shit on the New GT500 in a highway/roll race or top speed.... 20+mph higher top speed for the Redeye. On a track it's close between a ZL1 1LE and a GT500...since it weighs SO much more. I can send you the test link. I will say, it's the best "ALL Around" Model...but it's also the newest by many years.
