It's different in the car than in these videos... Not as Loud. Hellcat to Zl1 the interior Supercharger noise level is almost the same...Zl-1 just has a louder exhaust note.

Full Racecar - Race Suspension, DOT Slicks , Real Aero/ Downforce Vs. A 672lbs. Heavier, No Aero / Downforce Car on all Season Tires. The Redeye Was Less than 1 Second Slower than the more Comperable Mustang GT W/ PP1 Package. * Mustang PP1 .... * Stiffer Suspension * More Downforce * 670lbs Lighter,Which is More for Handling / Track Times. Redeye ... Just has more Power which actually Slows It down going thru the Turns .... All over the place due to No traction when trying to Put the power down. A Wide Body Hellcat Would Run A Quicker Time . ZL-1 1LE is Slow Compared to the ACR Viper and they are More Equally Matched than this Redeye and ZL-1 1LE. ZL-1 1LE ....5 More Hp / 50 More ft-LbsLbs of torque 1,000Lbsl ess Downforce Both 6spd Manuals Both haver Race Suspensions and tires Viper is 463 Lbs. Lighter YouYo Wouldn't Call a ZL-1 1LE "Poor Handling" because it's 5 seconds Slower than The ACR around Laguna Seca? Same Thing.

@gsxr1189 The Redeye was not designed to out track a ZL-1 and especially not a 1LE model. I explained WHY, in my Previous post. Have You Driven a reg. Hellcat? It's suppose to be an Improvement Over that... Just like the PP1 package Mustang Over a Reg. Stang GT.

@johnjones1997bih Ok , But even if you are talking , Styling ... If anything Honda is Coping GM. Caddy was the 1st to bring Back the severely Edgy Look , in 2003. Lambo started to lean towards That Look , But it wasn't as Extreme as the Caddy was or cars Today.

Hearing about the seats...is disappointing considered that a Business man would be in the back and not just a pair of <40lbs kids like in a Lower model. Should have had optional Hellcat seats.

Only in the regular hellcats as the only put out 650ft-lbs of torque... the input Torque limit of the 6 speed manual.

Regular GT350 isn't impressive in any performance category. Slower than the SS 1LE on track and only 0.1 Second quicker than the 71Hp Less powerful Camaro in a drag race.

It's because it block uses a 90* degree bank angle... (the block was just a Dodge 360 smallblock with 2 extra cylinders, 0.30+stroke added in 488 cid, now with just more bore and stroke ) So the banks aren't firing evenly....like a 72*degree Lambo/audi V10. 2 full rotations (720 degrees) divided by the Number of cylinders gives the Ideal layout. 90*degree v8 72* v10 60* v12

It's Probably TREMEC... to save the DCT from breaking(Warranty). That 1 sec delay allows for it to fully engage before the abuse... But I do agree 1 sec in 2/3 sec too long.

Much better for the street? Hellcats have a better ride and More interior room than ZL-1s but the Zl-1s are better if you like to road race on the weekends. I do think the SS camaro is the best bang for the $$$, especially one with the 1LE package. Ford messed up making the Current Mustang bigger/heavier than the last gen. GT500 is said to be 4,225lbs. That's 380lbs MORE than the ZL1 1LE, 479 lbs HEAVIER than a SS 1LE Camaro and ONLY 224 lbs. Less than a Regular Hellcat Challenger (which has an IRON Block).

At the Beginning when the cars are side by side the top of the doors look even, Yes from the view of the guys in the cars looking out... the camaro door is much higher. I think it's actually the seats and NOT the body/door. The redesign has an ALL New Chassis/Platform..not just body panels. True that the Challenger is out-selling the camaro, even though the camaro is only like 3 years old and the Challenger is almost 12 yrs old. Hopefully the next challenger generation is a few hundred pounds lighter.

Also people don't realize....especially NON-Americans, how BIG the Challenger is. For Non Americans this is basically a car "slightly bigger" than an AUDI S6 but with 347 MORE HP and 301 More lb-ft of torque at the same weight.

Every Brand is Having Discounted sales (now) in Jun or before they were alot more... Also this is Canadian Money and we don't really know all of the options. You could easily add 15k<$20k+ on topend model today. True that they don't have the "Throttle control" to handle the Redeye.

The new Camaro did lose about 200lbs from the previous model. The Challenger is still using the Mercedes-Benz platform from 2015...Have to wait until FCA gives them a new one to use. Rhumor has it that it will use the Alfa Romeo Guilia platform which is like 500lbs lighter/smaller.

ZL-1LE , Only came with a stick and the Redeye Only comes with an Auto.

That's TRUE. The Redeye's trap speed is 5 mph Faster than the ZL-1 1LE's and it ONLY Grows from there. Redeye is 1 sec quicker to 150 mph. Also 1 second quicker in a highway race 60 - 150 mph.

Bad Gt500 Driver...with a good driver it would come down to reaction time. (only 0.1 sec ET difference ZL-1 and the Gt500 CF).

Better yet the 2020 will have a optional 7spd dual clutch transmission available for the first time ever. Too Bad Tremec didn't have it ready for the last Year of the Viper.

It's Perfect since the Redeye Guage goes to 340kph /211+ MPH;-) Goes to 203+mph...... Camaro is 800!lbs lighter than the Dodge.

Actual the camaro team is doing better, producing a better quality product than the Corvette team. See every Motortrend zo6 test. 3 out of 4 of them broke down. Camaro is for people that can't afford a corvette OR Need to/want to be able to carry more than 1 passenger.

It's the C8's 60.6% Rear weight Bias... Vs. Only 42% for the Demon that made all the difference. Proof is in how Much quicker the C8 is Vs. the C7 which were Alot lighter. Another example of How Much more Important rear weight bias is, All you have to do is Look at the 911 And run quick with Less Hp. Also, You're Comparing 2 Different Types of cars. The Viper was the Vette's Competition ( Only American 1). Now it's Only has the Europeans to play with, Unless Ford is still making the GT.

Not Much lag at all, the turbo is twin scroll design and with VVT it's 90% of peak TQ by 2,000 rpms... But Yes it will never be as responsive as an ALL Motor engine. I also think it's over priced....your paying 15k more for the Supra Name.

A new 5.0 kicks it's A**, and never had The Supercharger whine of a hellcat. Not even the Gt500 , Eaton Blowers , Are Too Quiet.

I can guarantee it still doesn't ride as nice as a E32.. best riding BMW Every..made the E65 feel like a pickup truck. Old S8 and RS7 were the niciest Audi's I've been in.

ZL1, IS priced about the same as a Widebody Hellcat..$10k less then a NON-widebody redeye. I think it depends on what you Like/ are after. Room for people and Big HP = Redeye. Seats for 4 and handling = Zl1. Of course Looks is a big part. Owned Camaros, Dodges and Worked for FORD so there are Differences.
