@jaws2003 indeed. Low taxes, beach and mountains right next to each other, good system of mid sized cities, low wages, a relatively easy citizenship program, great passport, cheap housing and hey it might become a member of the Shengen Area in the near future, just saying😉
4
The only surprises here are Georgia and Armenia cause for me they're European
4
Deposit 5k in a bank plus 2k per dependant plust establish econnic ties either by starting or buying a company or through employment to get a temporary residence which leads to permanent residence in 2 years. Panama is a territorial tax country meaning you're not taxed on foreign sourced income if u become a tax resident by spending enough time there
4
oh and ofc that only works if you're a citizen of one of the friendly nations
4
Certainly of value, but as u say, and I agree, one should run towards something not from something. That said, I'd like hear your thoughts when it comes to places not to escape wokeism but to run towards conservatism or whatever the opposite of wokeism is. U could maybe avoid wokeism in Russia or Serbia, but maybe when you're running towards conservatism the UAE for example would come to mind
4
And they also claim we're the selfish ones when they have no regard for "the other guy"
4
I'm sorry I just haven't seen a vegan that wants lower taxes and less regulations
4
I believe the best option for nomads is homeschooling cause u can do it basically anywhere and u can also have more control over their education
4
I don't think it's about race but perception of the country. I doubt Emirati citizens are gonna suffer the same problems that Pakistani citizens do. Yet to most westerners they look the same
4
The new Sierre Leon program is easier to get for anyone with any kind of african descent. Also Ghana could work as they have a sort of CBI but only for africans. Other options in Africa if you want to live there and connect to your roots are Namibia and Cape Verde
4
It's never free dude, u pay it through taxes
4
For me going where I'm treated best doesn't mean moving to a certain country, it means moving out and enjoying the freedoms of a global citizen
3
That has 0 impact if u don't live there
3
What places that are currently not ready do you think you'll be advocating for in 10 years?
3
@SMoore-vj7bt your "birthright" is a contract that imposes u a debt for life to the state. What a right u have
3
No, Canada doesn't have a citizenship-based tax system unlike the US meaning that if you're a US citizen it doesn't matter where in the world u reside u'll always have to pay taxes in the US unless u renounce your citizenship
3
The towns are small, real estate is over priced, not much sand beaches and the water is not that warm, the only cool thing about Montenegro is the flat 9%. In my opinion, if you're looking for a beach hub in Europe that's gonna be Bulgaria. It has coastal cities like Varna and Burgas, sand beaches, warmer sea temperature and it's also pretty low taxed.
3
That's wrong. Having a job is losing time and money, being an entrepreneur is what gives u time and money. I say this because having a job is certainly less productive
3
What about EU citizens who move to another country in the EU, like from Germany to Poland or Czech Republic for example, and reduce their tax bill, do u think that like Americans they should also go straight to where they're treated best?
3
Agreed. Good option if you're making under a million
3
If money were not object, out of these my favorite would be Singapore. Considering that money is an object my favorite would be perhaps Panama City.
3
@zionnaranje7298 thank u
3
@nikireynolds5200 cause they speak the same language, have similar culture and if you're Brazilian it's easier to emigrate to Portugal, same if you're a Portuguese emigrating to Brazil
3
@nikireynolds5200 I mean in my opinion central and eastern countries are better but that's just my opinion. U as a foreigner could live tax free in Portugal, which I couldn't since I'm Portuguese. What I'm saying is make sure your choice makes sense to u even if doesn't make sense for others or even most people
3
Well u need more than that just to buy a home in the country u move to
3
Same as the US. About 30% federally plus province tax
3
Depends. If it's considered capital gains then consider a country with low capital gains tax. If it's considered income cause u don't hold for long enough then go to a country with low income tax or one that has a lump sum tax if you're making enough money
3
@mustknowinfo2001 it depends on your standard of low and your taste in women but some popular ones are Colombia, Panama and Vietnam
3
It can work
3
I think if the south seceded a lot of good things would happen. So make that happen over there, I'll wait to see if it's worth giving it a visit after the war
3
Santiago certainly not as cheap but u can benefit from the 5 year tax holiday and the opportunity to get one of the best passports. Obviously if you're making 1k a month it won't help u but if u have decent income and are looking to save in tax Chile in my opinion is a good option
3
In my opinion, as an European, i don't think i would take an Israeli passport. If I were a jew proabaly I would have a different opinion as I'd potentially be proud of being an Israeli citizen, but since I'm not a jew and I'm interested in the Arab world I wouldn't take it. Besides that Israel doesn't add much if u already have a western passport and if u just wanted a place where you're left alone, well can't get that, Israel is a high tax country
3
@shotelco to be fair 2 of them are not countries (Macao and Hong Kong and it would be Republic of Ireland instead as Ireland is the whole island but still u can't debate the facts. Good job
3
Andrew, speaking of Turkey, I'm looking to start banking overseas when things normalize and I believe I will be ready by then. Turkey is one of my options along with Georgia and Armenia (Egypt and Azerbaijan would also be options but i would need a visa and I don't wanna deal with that so early). Said that and due to the proximity of the 3 countries I figured I could take one trip and open an account in each but I don't know if I want to be exposed to the Lira, on the other hand it could be a good long term investment. Any suggestions?
3
Comparing the US to Switzerland, I would in that case pick a Florida or a Texas, just more my cup of tea. Looking at it from an holistic point of view I'd try places like the Gulf, Singapore, Hong Kong, where I could still get a higher salary but pay a lot less in taxes. I mean even if your salary is higher in the US than say the UAE, maybe you're getting a better deal in the UAE when u account for taxes, it depends on the numbers. Then u also gotta look at housing, cost of living, etc. Just go for the better deal and make sure to go throw all your options before making a decision
3
U realize u can have all that paying low or even no tax right
3
Carribbean islands are not Latin tho with the exceptions of Dominican Republic, Cuba, Haiti, and other countries that speak romance languages. Clearly the countries u named like the Cayman Islands, St Kitts and Nevis, Anguila, etc, are not Latin
3
@hthought sure and what I said about it I wouldn't even wanna spend a week in such place when that week could have been spent in any other country
3
No, it's not official. The media called it not the Supreme Court and until that happens it's not official. First all states with up to 0.5% margin will have a recount and the Trump team has already filled some lawsuits so it's going to the Supreme. It's far from official
3
Let's be honest, a girl, specially a western girl, ain't worth that much. Girls in the east are more unlikely to dump u and they appreciate u way more
3
@margyiphillips4931 sure most western men are also not worth it but it's a consequence right. Women destroyed courtship culture, men adapted. Can we agree on that? Said that, men are also better in the east but u do see a lot of western men going to the east and finding love. On the other hand I'm not aware of western women doing that...
3
@margyiphillips4931 race isn't the issue, at least for most people. Just don't expect to do the things u would dating a westerner. Most western women are passive feminists (if u don't know what that means read the previous comments). Most eastern men don't like that
3
Weird, we're used to see Andrew being interviewed
3
Bulgaria? Serbia?
3
Relate again (I'm commenting as I watch the video. When I said I grew up with a world map on my desk, under that map there's a Portuguese map made of paper (I'm from Portugal). I'd barely look at it that's y I keep it under the word map.
3
On the spot! For a few months now I've been wanting to visit these kinds of emerging countries. The Bolivias and the Paraguays have been getting my attention due to their tax regime. Brazil is also on my list since I'm a native Portuguese speaker. Also the Mauritius and other African countries are appealing. Not talking about citizenship of course. I think pretty much every country on the list is well worth exploring with the exception of Spain.
3
I don't know wether I got it right. What I understood is basically u should give up your miles cause by going offshore u get to keep more of your money even if u travel all the miles u had before. Please correct me if I'm wrong
3
@reginaldsmith6949 his advice u can generally get for free. I'm talking about actually becoming a client every time u make an investment for example to make sure it's the best investment, but then you're paying to get a better deal which sometimes might mean u should just get a not as good deal with the benefit of not having to pay his fee or without the feeling that your lifestyle is not actually yours since u basically relly on his help to get things done. Even if money were not an object people become nomads in search for freedom and if that scenario corresponds to the truth then you're not getting freedom and you're not getting a good deal if that makes sense.
3
And now if you're on 1k a month u don't even have to travel the world and figure out where to live cheaply. Andrew just saved u time and money
3
I don't know about Italy or Spain but in portugal's case it only apllies to blacklisted jurisdictions. They have a blacklist and if u move to countries on that list you're still seen as a Portuguese tax resident for a few years. What are countries on this list? The panamas of the world, countries known to be destinations for people who don't wanna pay taxes. That said it's not about the country's laws, but perception. You'll find high taxed countries on that list like Trinidad and Tobago, but it's an island so it must be shady. It's all a matter of perception. That said a country like Malaysia doesn't have this sort of reputation and therefore is not blacklisted, meaning u could move there and become a tax resident while potentially paying 0 or very low tax. When you're no longer in the portugal's tax net you're free to become a tax resident wherever u want
