I think they're diffrent parts of the interview but I'm not 100% sure
2
I wouldn't feel good being an El Salvadoran citizen or be seen as one. I think it's important for a citizenship to have that sex appeal to u. So for example while I'd be proud to show an Armenian passport I wouldn't feel the same about El Salvador. It really doesn't have a rational explanation
2
Go to tiblissi meet with a bank and open the bank account. There are things u should keep in mind like currency exchange and transactions. Without proper structure u might have to pay for the exchange if you're looking to open an account in laris and there's always the risk your current bank will ask questions or even not let u do the transactions. However there are ways around it and u don't need to be a genius to figure them out
2
I think what makes me the most uncomfortable and my biggest fear is lonelyness. My friends obviously don't get it and I'm currently not in a relationship and imagining myself moving in say half a decade, if by then I'm still alone in this I'm certainly going to feel uncomfortable being alone in a new country
2
I agree with protectionism against a country that spends their money putting poeple in concentration camps which btw when consuming products from a Chinese company you're contributing to that. That's my view. Defund China
2
Maybe Switzerland
2
He didn't say that, he said what some people think. And I'll have to agree, I would not spend the whole year there, maybe a month or 2 during the winter
2
Short therm no, long term yes
2
If that's what u want then why leave the US in the first place?
2
@caoimhegoggins2653 taxes are low if you're a foreigner. Myself as a Portuguese I can't have those benefits. Besides even if the taxes were low I would still move offshore, I just don't feel good here and I want to explore the world
2
We're talking about property for investment not as a personal lifestyle choice and he says it in the video. Besides other countries have way better beaches, way lower cost living, way lower taxes, good healthcare and having a lot of tourists is not a good thing. If most people like it it means it's bad
2
@hthought would u live there? If so get ready to pay tax on your worldwide income. If not then I still don't see the value on even having a vacation home in a country where the culture is against u. Said that there are of other countries where u can have a vacation home in and where you're treated best
2
@serinadelmar6012 no, that's not my experience, that's simply western culture and u see that through policy. They literally punish wealth, the more u have the harder the punishment
2
Well that depends a lot on what u would commit to. For example if u can't get a citizenship by marriage or decent u might wanna consider paper resedency in which u get a residence permit and come back a couple of yours later to collect your citizenship or spend little time a year in the country, u don't wanna try that in a country with long presence requirements. One good example is Mexico, u can get a temporary residence permit just by showing proof of an income, that u can support yourself. U'd eventually have to get a permanent residence permit and eventually u could get a citizenship whitin 5 years. If you're willing to spend some time there, maybe spend your vacations there, that could facilitate the process. There are obviously other options and in my opinion u should focus on paper residency options if u don't qualify for citizenship by decent. Another thing that u might be willing to do is naturalization, but again all depends on what you're willing to do. I suggest that u inform yourself about second passport options in diffrent countries and set boundaries on what you're willing to do and spend to get that insurance passport
2
This is indeed true and he has mentioned it before in other videos and articles
2
U realize these people are dumb when they raise taxes during an economic crisis. So they fall into a criris that they started by shutting down the economy and people are just supposed to trust the same people with their money and their economy that they voluntarily shut down
2
@JamesSmith-qv9qo it really is amazing
2
What do u mean banned? How can you teach finance without teaching compound interest?
2
Andrew, what passports do u recommend for people who don't wanna miss out on the Central Asian markets
2
Shit! I love Malaysia but right now, with these requirements it's only a remote possibly that I'll ever afford it. I'm guessing with covid they might want less foreigners in the country. Hope when it's all over and they'll have to build their economy back up that they'll lower the requirements to attract as much wealth as possible
2
@zoomzoom3950 not all western women are feminist or even passive feminists. If u have the right attitude it is possible and if you're a woman u don't even have that Muslim restriction (Muslims believe religion is passed to the children by the father so the father needs to be a Muslim so non Muslim men can't have Muslim partners). However I do recognize it's more usual to see men going to the east and finding love
2
Andrew, in your opinion what are the best countries with low or even no capital gains tax?
2
2
I'm more sad about Nigeria tbh
2
Not only is your 5 grand still there, it's grown
2
I don't understand y nomads wouldn't wanna live in Johor Bahru, it's u can literally live your everyday life in Singapore without buying a small million dollar apartment
2
So? A nomad moves in search of opportunity. Not move once and then stay there after all the berries are gone
2
Would be interesting to see where Russian and Ukrainian millionaires are moving to. It's been a large exodus and i don't see them going back anytime soon
2
Didn't know that about Puerto Rico. Interesting
2
And high taxes...
2
Lol imagine being from Serbia and not liking that you're hiring and spending your money there. Sounds so dumb to me specially considering that I'm from Portugal and we basically relly on tourism
2
@samjordan8800 sure, what I meant is if u don't need it quickly there's not much value to it. If your u can't leave your country and u need to then u need a citizenship quickly. If u don't need to leave Italy then u don't need a second citizenship quickly, u can just wait until things go back to normal
2
I do agree with u on Bulgaria, not the best place to live because Sofia is a little boring and the coastal cities are a little small for my liking. That said I prefer its neighbor Romania since the capital is a lot more interesting. Unfortunately it's a country that doesn't get much cover on the channel.
2
It's unbelievable. It seems anytime I face a problem u provide an answer
2
Since I'm not in a hurry I'd say naturalization and in some cases investment. I like the idea of getting a citizenship "for free" or even "get paid" to get a citizenship. The point is I'll take what I can get. If I can get a passport by having a child I'll do that, if it's by spending a certain and reasonable amount of time somewhere I'll do it, if it's by an actual investment with potential to even the score or even get a profit I'll also take that. Since, again, I'm not in a hurry, I'm not into spending a lot of money or go out of my way to get a passport
2
Bahamas, Mauritius and even Sri Lanka. U certainly don't talk much about Sri Lanka in the channel but I think it can be a place to consider
2
To be fair if you're an EU citizen it doesn't affect you that much apparently
2
The concept of low net-worth is really broad and subjective but sure there are places with a significantly lower price tag than Singapore. I'm not gonna tell u which countries have the lowest price tags cause coming from someone who's curious I would rather do my own research than having a dude tell me my options in a comment section. That said my suggestion is do some research in case u haven't already, certainly Andrew has many videos on immigration and how to get a residence permit in different countries. And the fun part is some countries have it so easy one can qualify with relatively low income or low investment requirements most of which are in Latin America. No shocker since immigration really is their genesis
2
I think taxation and even freedom are more important than visa free travel. While I would never get an American passport, I'd gladly get a passport with worse visa free travel. Doesn't make sense that visa free travel accounts for 50% while taxation only accounts for 10%. For me it's the much more important for a nomad and the same goes for dual citizenship. If a passport gives me great travel benefits but doesn't allow me to have other options that's a no no. Same goes for Argentina where u can't renounce. All of that matters more to a nomad, in my opinion
2
Hong Kong and Macau
2
How would u afford immigration? What would residence permits cost u?
2
Hey, I have a question about second citizenship. Do these countries u talk about in the chanel have language requirements? For example if I wanted to become a Turkish or Bulgarian citizen, would I have to speak Turkish or Bulgarian?
2
Y on earth would he get a Portuguese passport?
2
@emanuelriquelmemontoya3819 that's one of the reasons y he doesn't need a Portuguese passport. The other ofc is meeting the presence requirements after getting the residence permit, and ofc pay some good old Portuguese tax
2
Can't u just move your company overseas by moving the headquarters. For example a location independent businesses u run from home which is where it is set up. If u buy or rent property overseas can't u change the headquarters to that property, instead of going through the process of incorporating another company overseas and sell your assets to that company?
2
Recently someone told me that if u want to incorporate overseas u gotta open a bank account in that country before incorporating. Is this true?
2
My country might be the only or one of the few western countries with a big emigration culture
2
I do realize it's a minority but the point is that in my situation, leaving has been popular for centuries and it's experiencing a substantial wave for the last decade or so to the point there might be more citizens living overseas than actually in the country
2
Oh wow, after looking it up it's not that there might be more citizens living overseas, it's that the population living inside the country only account for 1/6 of the total number of citizens. Didn't expect this at all
2
@queserasera1674 in a year? If by then the pandemic isn't over yet it's because they're delaying the process with lockdowns and stuff. Pandemics usually have a 2-3 year span cause after that the vast majority of people that wouldn't survive the virus are already gone. Preventing people from getting the virus is slowing down that process
